I love this series so much。 I will say I do kinda wish I reread all of them before starting this one （or at least not leaving as big of a gap between them all） - I love seeing all the characters grow and their friendships evolve and also them just standing up for themselves in whatever way they think is necessary and still giving eachother the support they need even if they don't know what to think themsleves yet。 （view spoiler）[ Also RIP Dormouse， It hit me so hard when I was like 14 and it sti I love this series so much。 I will say I do kinda wish I reread all of them before starting this one （or at least not leaving as big of a gap between them all） - I love seeing all the characters grow and their friendships evolve and also them just standing up for themselves in whatever way they think is necessary and still giving eachother the support they need even if they don't know what to think themsleves yet。 （view spoiler）[ Also RIP Dormouse， It hit me so hard when I was like 14 and it still hit me hard today （hide spoiler）] 。。。more

I think things are just getting boring？ It’s still dark and also lighthearted young friends overcoming the struggles of being kids。 The Oracle is really starting to annoy me， he’s so cryptic and really doesn’t tell the guardians anything so I’m not surprised that Teranee is taking a stand。 Idk how I feel about this new character Orube and I feel like it’s losing that fun spark it used to have。

The first two stories of this volume wrap-up things from the previous arc， and the last two stories are an introduction to the new arc。I was disturbed with a few instances in this volume where we are positioned to take sides with certain characters。 In these instances， I felt that those characters were in the wrong！ Like when Hay Lin is making fun of Uriah， I felt really bad for him。 Just because he is a bully does not make it ok to bully him！ And then there was the part where Taranee's mother w The first two stories of this volume wrap-up things from the previous arc， and the last two stories are an introduction to the new arc。I was disturbed with a few instances in this volume where we are positioned to take sides with certain characters。 In these instances， I felt that those characters were in the wrong！ Like when Hay Lin is making fun of Uriah， I felt really bad for him。 Just because he is a bully does not make it ok to bully him！ And then there was the part where Taranee's mother was the judge for a case involving her friend。 Judges are supposed to be impartial！ I also think that some issues with Matt got resolved too quickly and conveniently。Despite these little annoyances， I did really enjoy this volume。 My favourite was the first story that focused on Irma！ But I was a bit annoyed at how obvious it is that things are just made up on the spot， because Irma's mother （view spoiler）[ looks exactly like her so it is clear that they just randomly decided that they were not biologically related when writing this story （hide spoiler）]。 The new arc seems promising！ I am looking forward to reading the next volumes！ 。。。more

It's different when you read it as an adult。 More things started to make sense…Taranee's always been one of my favorite W。I。T。C。H。， the least favorite being Cornelia。 I like her because she's growing up in front of my eyes: she rebels against her mum but she still is the old and reliable Taranee。 I also understand why she's taking a break from being a W。I。T。C。H。: she's not the master of her destiny。 She can't plan anything because the Council may be summoned her and the other girls to do its bid It's different when you read it as an adult。 More things started to make sense…Taranee's always been one of my favorite W。I。T。C。H。， the least favorite being Cornelia。 I like her because she's growing up in front of my eyes: she rebels against her mum but she still is the old and reliable Taranee。 I also understand why she's taking a break from being a W。I。T。C。H。: she's not the master of her destiny。 She can't plan anything because the Council may be summoned her and the other girls to do its bidding。And yeah， the Council… It really has no respect for the Guardians' lives。 It always summons them when they're in school to solve some big problems that can threaten the balance of the worlds。 But it never explains them what they're going to face。 Like Ari， for instance。 The Council orders them around and it never accepts their views on things。And poor， poor Dormouse。。。 。。。more
